All major employers in this state will not like to see us succeed in a union drive. So you can expect heat to come down on us in attempt to stop us from succeeding in our goal. They will try to take away the very resources we've earned and turn it against us. Fear is their only tactic and we cannot let them succeed! We must unite and stand together.
All that we need to do is complete our authorization cards and vote yes, and they will have to negotiate a Collective Bargaining Agreement with us. Those who want to do more, we need for you to get involved with our organizing drive.
What we need to know and understand is that upper management will never want us to have any type of representation because that just might end up cutting into their big bonuses and they are so use to having everything done their way, so sure while it is benefiting them why negotiate and change.

MGM Mirage Senior Vice President Punam Mather exercises options for 2,500 shares
In a Form 4 filed with the SEC Wednesday, Punam Mather reported exercising the options on Monday for $12.74 apiece and then selling all 2,500 of them on the same day for $50.50 apiece.

Just when you thought You Seen Every Dirty Trick in the Book, Luxor Security Manager David Skelton, Gets Caught Red Handed assisting Luxor employees in the drafting of a petition against SPFPA.
On or about May 29, 2008 the Employer through its agents including but not limited to Security Manager David Skelton encouraged and assisted employees to draft and circulate a petition against SPFPA. Security Manager Skelton and other Security Department supervisors assisted in creating the language of the petition, permitted unit employees to craft the petition while on duty, permitted unit employees to use Employer computers and/or copies to create the petition and otherwise assisted in the creation and distribution of the petition.
SPFPA Attorneys have already Taken Legal Action Against Luxor management by filing an Unfair Labor Charges with the NLRB for Encouraging and Assisting employees to draft a petition against SPFPA

Ordering Why a NEW Election should not be conducted after a preliminary administrative investigation by the NLRB disclosed that at the election conducted on Friday the 13th, during the second voting session, the Board Agent assigned to conduct the election left the polling area unaccompanied by the parties observers to go to the bathroom.

MGM 2Q profit falls 68.6 percent

MGM Mirage says its second-quarter profit fell 68.6 percent as resorts lowered room rates and visitors spent less money, according to the Associated Press.
The Las Vegas-based casino operator says net income fell to $113.1 million, or 40 cents per share, from $360.2 million, or $1.22 per share, in the prior year, the AP reports.

Local AFL-CIO Leader Roy Foster told a crowd of Thousands at Saturday's union rally that they weren't going to march down the Boardwalk, as was previously announced. Afterward, Foster and Atlantic City Mayor Scott Evans said they'd do it all again, once every month, until employees at four casinos see progress in their negotiations with management.
